Project Eleven26 is a holistic private foundation dedicated to empowering homeless women with children through education, advocacy and supportive programs.
On the road to economic self-sufficiency, there should be stronger safety nets for homeless women with children at both the federal and state levels. In order to move women with children out of financial strain and onto a path toward long-term economic stability, graduated and continued support is absolutely necessary.
The Rise Above Entrepreneur Program is a 3-month learning program designed to inspire and engage homeless women with children in the fundamental aspects of an entrepreneurial mindset and the unlimited opportunities it can provide. This highly face-to-face interactive project enables these women to learn from the first-hand experience of successful real-world local professional entrepreneurs. In addition to the weekly classes, each lesson includes individual learning assessments and project-based assignments that are designed to maximize comprehension while encouraging real-world application of the core concepts.
The overall objective is to empower these women through entrepreneurial thinking and immerse them in entrepreneurial experiences that will enable them to invest in themselves and regain self-sufficiency. After successful completion of the program we will provide each woman with a small business starter scholarship package which includes a free website, administrative support and basic start-up inventory to launch their business.
